Let’s look at the positives from this game.
The offensive game plan was there, just not the execution. Too many drops and a few overthrows did Maryland in.
Stefon was clearly the best athlete on the catching 10 passes for 138 yards. I was not surprised.
Will Likely tied the bowl record with a 100 yard kickoff return.
Minus a blocked punt, Nate Renfro had a great day punting the ball.
The negatives:
The season ends on a sour note as the Terps were just outmatched on defense and special teams.
Kevin Hogan was sensational for the Card.
It’s late and I have a plane to catch early so I will wrap it up tomorrow.
freddy from boca
happy healthy new year to everyone.
md basketball. a good win. mich st isn’t a good team at this time…but a conference win on the road is pretty good.
the split personality of dez wells helped make the game close. turnover after turnover followed by a big 3 pt shot to tie the game and baskets, free throws and good passes in the o’t’s.
a note to mark turgeon. getting a t in a close game isn’t smart.
turg made several good substitutions late in the game to help the terps win.
football. completely overmatched. never really in the game. hogan and mccaffery were great for stanford.
diggs played well for the terps. stanford didn’t look like a 7-5 team, that’s for sure.
md defense was poor. too many bad performances by the d this yr. personally, i would welcome a coaching change for the defense.
good bye cj brown. tough kid. should try to make the nfl as a running or slot back. doesn’t have the arm to play qb in canada. the field is longer and wider than college.
b ball going in the right direction. football needs to beat a good team one day. md hasn’t beaten a ranked team since 2010 when the fridge was coach.
