Idiocy reigned supreme at this year’s Super Bowl. Pete Carroll gave his blessing to a 2nd and goal to go pass from the 1/2 yard line and the result was a disaster for Seattle. The “beast” can not be stopped on 3 chances from the 1/2 yard line. Marshawn Lynch is the premiere running back in the NFL and Pete Carroll decided not to use him. Forget his moronic explanations, he just plain out and out blew the game.

Another question: why did Belichick not use a timeout to preserve the clock in case Seattle scored. My only guess is maybe he surmised that Seattle might pass and didn’t want to give them time to rethink.
Julian Edelman was sensational with 9 catches for 109 yards. Michael Campanaro has the qualities of Edelman and Wesley Welker. Let’s hope he can stay injury free next year.
With 2 weeks to prepare, how could any defense think that Gronk could be covered by a linebacker.
