The Terps are now 21-5 and 9-4 in the Big Ten—not too shabby
Tonight it was the Dez and Melo show combining for 42 points on 11-16 shooting and 19-19 on foul shots.
All in all any win on the road for Maryland is a great win and now the Terps will prepare for Nebraska next Thursday night at Xfinity
Turgeon Post Game:
We played two games this week and both have been terrific basketball games. I thought tonight was a high level game and I thought Penn State was terrific from beginning to the end. They had a stretch that maybe they didn’t feel good about to start the second half, but they came right back at us. My guys were great. We hung around in the first half and finished the half the right way. We started the second half off tremendously and we had a lot of guys play really well. Melo [Trimble] was terrific; Dez [Wells] was Dez as he now is starting to play and share the ball. Jared [Nickens] gave us two big three’s and our defense was good enough. I have to do a better job of adjusting our defense quicker, which let them get back in it but our foul trouble hurt us a little bit. In the end, it’s a great win and it’s hard to win on the road. They [Penn State] had won three in a row at home so I am really proud of my group.
