For the last 3 or 4 weeks I have watched the Bracketology reports from Joe Lanardi of ESPN. That will be one practice that ends today. The Terps were a lock to be in Pittsburgh as a 3 seed. Could a loss to Michigan State have dropped the Terps to #16 in the country from the #8 perch in the AP Poll? Should the Terps be fortunate to advance to a Sweet 16, they would have the toughest task in the sports world —defeating the undefeated, unbeatable #1 Kentucky Wildcats led by John Calipari, who I have stopped ridiculing because of his friendship with Coach Turgeon.
Why could this be the silver lining or the Terps? “To be the man you have to beat the man” is a phrase uttered by the great Ric Flair. Watch
Maryland could have that opportunity to slay the giant. Is Kentucky invincible? A win though improbable as most would be believe would send the basketball world in shock and boost the program through the roof. As a game Coach with the best talent ever assembled, Calipari is mediocre at best. Let Melo and Dez be on fire and have it come down to a Turgeon Calipari chess match. I”LL TAKE TURGEON ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
However the Terps have a long road to that matchup. Time to study Valparaiso whose odds to win the title is 1000-1. The Terps by the way are 75-1.

winnable game for sure. biggest problem i see is that msu clogged the middle making it difficult to get to the rim. so what did md do. move the ball around quickly making msu move. no. no one was creating good shots for others. you want wiley and nickens to shoot the ball. set em up. nickens is a catch and shoot guy. so someone has to penetrate and draw the d and pass it out. or you have to move the ball side to side and make the defense move. then a skip pass or a quick extra pass and you should have someone open on the perimeter or someone drops down under the hoop
