Terps Forced to Come From Behind to Defeat High Point 15-10 Behind 7 Points From Brian Cole

I thought I was watching a typical slow start from the basketball team as the Terps were just outplayed in the 1st half by an 0-2 squad. The goalie from St Mary’s, Tim Troutner was stellar in the 1st half for HPU allowing just 4 goals and saving 10. But the Terps caught fire in the 3rd quarter, scoring 7 times and slowly put the game away.

HPU lost some control as the game slipped away setting up some unnecessary man up opportunities for Maryland that resulted in 4 goals for the day. Colin Heacock added 4 goals for Maryland and Dylan Maltz nailed his first hat trick as a Terp. It was great to see Lucas Gradinger in the lineup as he added a late goal for the Terps.

On a worrisome note Freshman FOGO Austin Henningsen had to leave the game twice with apparent shoulder problems. I am still awaiting his injury status.

Next up is Yale next Saturday at 1PM on the road.
