Will Bonaparte subbed in for Heningshen at the face off x and won 11-17 face offs.
Huge game for Goalie Kyle Bernlohr–14 saves.
Once again Brian Cole scored the winning goak.
Greg Dansiglio was all over the field scooping up 5 GBs.
Remember this is the PSU team that just defeated Denver.
The Terps play Rutgers on Saturday after the Spring football game. Rutgers is also 2-0 in the BIG 10.
Todd
Henningsen limped off the field in the second after a less than clean shot from a PSU player.
Greg Danseglio was the man coming in from the wing on faceoffs.
Bernlohr was crazy good and sacrificed his body – taking at least one shot off his chest and one off his face guard – to keep the ball out of goal and save 8 out of 10 second half shots. How fortunate have Terps LAX fans been to have first, Niko Amato and now Kyle Bernlohr in goal one after the other?
I can’t neglect mentioning Matt Rambo’s check in the second quarter to get the ball back after the Terps had turned it over on an EMO. It turned into a goal by Louis Dubick that might have been the critical moment of the game with MD getting the EMO goal and cutting the deficit to 8-6 as opposed to squandering the extra-man opportunity with a turnover.
A win over Rutgers Saturday will be “yooooooouuuuge” in the conference standings.
