Being “Bowl Eligible” is bullshit. Having a competitive program is where it is at. At this point, we are not competitive. Hopefully, we are probably one more season away. Why do we have so much trouble recruiting decent quarterbacks??
edsall didn’t leave much talent. at least 15 true freshman have played this year. you have to give durkin 2-3 years to bring in his own players.
sure they are getting crushed right now but give it a couple of years. he’s the right coach for the job, they are building a 155 million dollar training/performance facility that should receive national attention as it becomes usable. in other words, as gary would say, a great recruiting tool for a great recruiter like durkin. they are in the right conference. i mean how cool is it for md to be playing michigan, ohio st, penn st, mich st every year along with playing against the likes of nebraska and wisconsin.
the bad losses now will be followed by competitiveness and winning in the not too distant future
