Observations of a bitterly disappointing defeat:
The first plays that bothered me the most were the Ravens just using up the clock trailing 30-23 inside of 6 minutes
Almost 2 minutes were wasted gaining 9 yards and then having to settle for a 37 yard Justin Tucker FG—Justin certainly is capable of a 47 yard FG
Devin Hester must be jettisoned –the safety was on his shoulders and once againhis contributions were not in evidence–MOVE ON
Matt Elam got burned for a 79 yard TD pass in the short time he played—MOVE ON
Not being able to run the ball against a 3 man rush makes any sense
Brady just chopped up the defense picking us apart all night
Now on the plus side
It is not easy to put the Ravens away–it was a valiant comeback
Kenneth Dixon had an excellent game grabbing and fighting for every yard
No matter what happened last night, the Ravens would and will have to beat Pittsburgh to make the playoffs–The difference now is that they will have to run the table
Beating the Patriots twice at Foxboro would be a daunting task and lets face it any path to the Super Bowl goes through Foxboro
