Under the tutelage of some outstanding offensive players for Maryland over the past two years, it’s now Bernhardt’s turn to become the alpha dog on the Terps’ offense. In the offseason, he was given the mantle of wearing the esteemed No. 1 jersey, worn by many of the program’s offensive greats. In terms of X attackmen, it’s hard to find one with better lateral speed than Bernhardt. It seems a given he’ll improve on his 56-point season from last year and keep Maryland in the race for yet another Final Four run.
