Remember anyone can be a closer. I will not bring up his name again. In watching Oriole Centerfielders for 50 years, I don’t ever remember seeing one misplay a fly ball as poorly as Adam Jones did in the 6th inning, spoiling Brian Matusz shutout. This team is just awful.
Former Maryland guard Greivis Vasquez has been invited to attend the NBA draft at Madison Square Garden in New York. His agent, Herb Rudoy, said today that Vasquez won’t be sitting with John Wall, Evan Turner and the other projected lottery picks. Those guys are draft royalty. Maurice Edu came off the bench for Team USA and helped to energize a terrific comeback that should have resulted in a victory. Maurice was ruled offside as he scored preventing the American victory. Hats off to Maurice and I would hope he has garnered a starting role in Wednesday’s crucial game against Algeria.
I always marveled at Tiger’s putting. Not anymore.
I am happy and I mean really happy that we landed John Tillman as our new head Lax Coach.

Lakers 83 Celtics 79 Some comments:
The Celtics actually had a 13 point lead in the 3rd quarter. A team rarely loses that kind of margin especially when only so few points are scored. Why did Boston keep fouling ?
Gasol and Artest were fabulous last night making up for a subpar performance from Kobe.
Game 7 was riveting television. Sympathies go out to all Red Sox fans who are also Celtic fans.
