An MIA was put out for any offense in the first half on senior day when the Maryland Terrapins battled the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in what would become a back and forth contest before falling 27-24 in overtime. Maryland’s early season torrid shooting pace in the friendly confines of the Xfinity Center didn’t travel to Littlejohn Coliseum as the Terps took on the Clemson Tigers as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Despite a sloppy first half with 11 turnovers, the Maryland Terrapins scored 14 straight points after the visiting St. Peter’s Peacocks scored the game’s first basket. The Terps didn’t make it easy on themselves allowing the underdog Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers an 18-6 run midway through the second half that turned a 10 point Maryland lead into a two point Terps deficit.
