How big is this game tonight? I am counting the minutes to opening pitch come rain or nighttime clear darkness. This team has arrived. Once again Game 1 is pivotal for the O’s. Yes it’s a best of 7 series but a loss would put all the heat on the O’s. We are facing Jamie Shields but our guy Chris Tillman is on a roll. The O’s starting pitching is just better then KC’s. But the Royals are a scrappy, … Read More »

It’s utterly amazing to me the series of events that led to extending JJ becoming one of the crucial future moves the O’s had to fulfill. Early in the year, there seemed no way that Hardy wasn’t going to be the odd man out. After all, the Yankees and the Mets are desperate for a shortstop. But then came the injury to Manny, the 25 game suspension of Chris Davis, and the brilliant, clutch 2nd half of the season for … Read More »

Mael Corboz notched a penalty kick goal in the 17th minute to give the Maryland men’s soccer team a critical win against VCU Wednesday night at Ludwig Field.

Corboz nailed his third penalty kick of the season to halt a two-game losing skid for Maryland (4-5-2, 1-2-1 Big Ten). Terrapin sophomore goalkeeper Zack Steffen tallied his fourth shutout of the 2014 campaign.

Maryland, which was playing without head coach Sasho Cirovski due to his suspension by the Big Ten Conference … Read More »

Monahan put up 50 goals and 27 assists (plus an absurd 100 groundballs) for the WCAC champs, consistently going hard to the cage and working well within the offense as their de facto leader. … Read More »

The Big Ten office today announced a one-game suspension and issued a public reprimand of Maryland men’s soccer head coach Sasho Cirovski. The conference office determined that Cirovski’s actions toward the officials following the Northwestern game on Oct. 5 were in violation of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy. In addition, the conference announced that the institution has been fined $10,000 as a result of the violation. Cirovski will serve his one-game suspension tonight against VCU.

Five Reasons why the O’s Will Win

1–Buck Showalter—Ned Yost has had a great innovative year but c’mon there is no equal to Buck

2–The O’s have the best player on either squad–Adam Jones. Big time players usually are the difference.

3– Home Field advantage for the O’s weighs big if there is a game 7

4–Jamie Shields might be the best starting pitcher on either team but overall the starting pitcher edge goes to the O’s especially with the way … Read More »

DeJuan Blair, Nene, Daniel Orton and Xavier Silas of the Washington Wizards have each been suspended for one game for leaving their team’s bench area in Monday’s preseason game against the Chicago Bulls.

The four players left the bench during a shoving match between the Bulls’ Joakim Noah and the Wizards’ Paul Pierce.
