The stats show the Terps were outplayed but with a few big plays, Maryland was in position to win its biggest non conference game of the year. The Mountaineers came out of the gate in its spread and the Terps could not deal with it. Quarterback Clint Trickett threw for 511 yards and 4 TDs. Most of the damage was in the 1st half.

I won’t deny the way I felt before this game. Because of all the distractions, the fact that is was a short time for preparation–I could not see the Ravens being victorious. And if they were going to win, it would be a squeaker at best. I missed it by a mile. Let’s see why.
