The Maryland men’s soccer team is ranked No. 2 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men’s National Preseason Rankings, announced Wednesday.

The Terps will face eight opponents this season ranked in the preseason top-25 including home games against Big Ten foes Michigan State (10), Penn State (15) and Wisconsin (21).

Other games against top-25 opponents include home games against Georgetown (9), Coastal Carolina (17) and UMBC (19). The Terps will travel to face Louisville (14) and Navy (t-25).

The Maryland football team put the pads on for the first time in preseason camp Wednesday as the Terps continued to fine-tune all aspects of their game in preparation for their season opener at James Madison at the on-campus practice facility.

The Maryland football team took the field for its second full practice of the 2014 preseason on a hot, muggy Tuesday afternoon at the on-campus practice facility.
