Exciting–not even close. Rory was much the better player and proved my prediction of his victory on last week’s Terp Talk correct.
Tiger finished 70th –enough said
Rickie Fowler and Sergio finished 2 shots back at 15 under. Hard to believe Sergio’s key putt on 17 was 4 feet short as he was trying to make a late charge.

Team Canada must have watched films of Maryland’s slow down offense of 2012 that usually just absolutely frustrated the opponents and perhaps led to the establishment of a shot clock in College lacrosse. Team USA just had minimal possessions and when goods shots were found, Canada’s Dillon Ward would make the stop, Kevin Crowley notched 5 goals for Team Canada. Rob Pannell continued his stellar play scoring once and dishing 3 assists.

As I told Coach Cottle post game, it’s hard to win when 5 of your starters are playing in the World games for the USA. Brian Cooper broke his arm on the first play of the game. Here’s hope for a great Terp to heal quickly and successfully.
The USA was up 22-3 when I figured the Aussies could not come back. I’ll have much more to say after the final game on Saturday.
