Between the first and second quarter of Saturday’s game between Maryland and Syracuse, the Terrapins recognized and paid tribute to Wilmeth Sidat-Singh, who was not permitted to play when Syracuse visited Maryland in October of 1937.

Sidat-Singh’s family joined athletic director Kevin Anderson, Syracuse Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross and Maryland football legend and pioneer Darryl Hill in an on-field tribute and recognition on the video board.

STORYLINE: The Syracuse-Maryland tilt is not exactly a blockbuster matchup this weekend but not many other games carry as much recruiting importance as the game in College Park.

That’s because five-star offensive tackle Damian Prince and five-star cornerback Jalen Tabor will be on their official visits and legitimately the Terrapins could land both prospects. Well this loss can’t be pinned on RG3. Despite being hit and pounded into the ground time after time, RG3 had a great game. A few drops at the end of the game proved to be the Skins undoing. 

Some observations:

Why in the world did the Skins try a fade route in the end zone with their last play. The margin of error was virtually nil on the pass to Santana Moss.
