Top-ranked Maryland field hockey rolled to a 5-1 win at No. 7 Duke Saturday to close the regular season. Sophomore Anna Dessoye scored twice in the first half to help the Terrapins to a 3-0 lead at the break.
With the win, Maryland (18-1, 6-0 ACC) won its sixth ACC game of the season, setting a new school record for conference wins in a year. The Terrapins also tied their record of 18 regular season wins set in 2009.
The Maryland women’s basketball team, which is ranked No. 6 in the USA Today Preseason Top 25, used a strong run that bridged the halves to beat Holy Family, 99-44, Saturday in its final exhibition match.
Senior Alyssa Thomas led the way for Maryland with 20 points off 9-for-10 shooting from the floor to go with 11 rebounds and a team-high five assists. Freshman Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 14 points and five boards, while fellow freshman Lexie Brown scored 10.

I guess if have been a long time member of Terrapintimes.com like I have been, this story has much more significance. But the world of media is ever changing. keith , Dave, Mike, Dan, Mike Fekula have always been good friends of mine and I wish them all luck and I will follow Keith to Fox Sports but keep my Rivals membership as it paid in advance.
