1. All-new coaching staff
The Browns ushered in an entirely new coaching staff this offseason, led by Head Coach Rob Chudzinski. Chudzinski spent the previous two seasons as the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator. Chudzinski hired former San Diego Chargers Head Coach Norv Turner to lead the offense and Ray Horton to oversee the defense. Turner has brought with him more of a vertical, deep passing game. Horton has roots with the Steelers and has morphed the Browns into an attacking 3-4 … Read More »
77-69—3 games behind Tampa in the loss column but now now trailing the Yankees and Cleveland as well. My guess–16 games left and it will take the O’s 13 wins to get it done. Doubtful but possible.
Danny Valencia continues to get ket key hits as his 3 run homer tied the game in the 8th.
Thankfully Rivera got his last save ever against the O’s. He is 80 for 89.
The No. 18 Maryland men’s soccer team looks to remain perfect in league play with a pivotal Atlantic Coast Conference match at No. 2 North Carolina Friday at 7 p.m. The match is being televised by ESPN3
The No. 21 University of Maryland women’s soccer team went into overtime for the first time in 2013, but didn’t have to stay long as sophomore Ashley Spivey netted the game-winning goal early in the 96th minute to lift the Terps to a 2-1 victory over Clemson at Historic Riggs Field.
Spivey’s game-winner was setup by senior Hayley Brock, who ran down a deep ball into the far right corner of the field in Tiger territory. Two Clemson defenders came at … Read More »
Oher Practices Despite Ankle Sprain
Starting right tackle Michael Oher was on the practice field Wednesday as a full participant after suffering an ankle injury that knocked him out of the season opener.
Oher, who has never missed a start in his five-year career, expressed optimism about playing Sunday against the Browns despite the severity of the injury.
“I work hard to be out there every Sunday for the team, but this is … Read More »
“The big difference is (quarterback) C.J. Brown. He’s a really good player. He’s not only a really good runner, he’s got a strong arm and he’s very confident. I think what he’s done is really boosted the confidence in the team. He’s a guy that can make big plays, he can keep plays alive with his feet, make big plays with his arm. (Wide receiver) Stefon Diggs is maturing fast. He was a freshman coming out of high school, I … Read More »
This is an important game for Paul Pasqualoni. He wasn’t a popular pick to guide the program and left the field to a shower of boos after the Huskies lost their open- er to Towson State. Pasqualoni is known for putting gnarly defenses on the field and has an extra week to prepare. Nonetheless, we’re bullish on Maryland. The Terrapins suffered an incredible wave of injuries last year. At one point in the season, six freshmen were starting on offense … Read More »
Let’s analyze this together. Top of the 9th , score tied at 3 in what again is another chance for the O”s to creep up on the struggling Rays. Jim Johnson is in the bullpen ready to go. As much as I have been on Johnson this year, lately he has been great getting all kinds of movement on the ball late according to Jim Palmer. The Yanks have Cano, Soriano, and then Granderson. I say to Donald Saiontz–you can’t … Read More »
