The Baltimore Ravens re-signed Vonta Leach, coach John Harbaugh announced after Monday’s practice.
The Pro Bowl fullback has agreed to a two-year deal, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Ravens released Leach last month when the sides couldn’t come to terms on reducing his $3 million salary this year. But the Ravens reportedly had a standing offer of $2 million plus incentives and had been in contact with Leach since parting ways.

With the depletion of our reciving corps, the Ravens could be forced back into a run first offense. Vonta Lech might not be wanted by the rest of the NFL but he could be a key component o a Ravens successful season. Right man right price is the Ravens motto but there might not be the right man who can solve our passing problems. Panic move? Maybe. But things are no longer rosy for the Super Bowl champs.

His goal in the 69th minute gave the United States a 1-0 victory over Panama and the CONCACAF Gold Cup title. It is the fifth Gold Cup title for the Americans, but their first since 2007. Certainly it was the Maryland connection in control for Denver–Lee Zink, Drew Snider and most of all Jeremy Sieverts (4 goals on 4 shots). Jesse Bernhardt gets better every week on defense and ground balls.
from the Bayhawks website:
Attackman Drew Westervelt fired in four goals, but it wasn’t enough as the Chesapeake Bayhawks could not hold an early lead and fell to the unbeaten Denver Outlaws, 14-12, at Sports Authority Field in the Mile High City.

You can’t spin this one. The injury to Pitta might spell disaster for the offense. There were already question marks about the possibility of Pitta becoming Flacco’s go to guy. But now who is left. Torrey is our #1 but facing double teams just how effective can he be? Could the Ravens bring in Dallas Clark for a look see?
The Harvard kid was apparently not too impressive at blocking yesterday. It’s time for the Ravens to close the Vonta … Read More »
