An early trip to the West Coast highlights an 18-game slate for the 2013 Maryland men’s soccer season, head coach Sasho Cirovski announced Monday.
Maryland – which boasted the top scoring offense in the nation in 2012 – will be tested early and often with matches against a total of 10 NCAA tournament teams from last season on the docket.

It was not a great start for the #1 Terps today as halfway through the first half Stony Brook held a 1-0 lead based on stalling tactics. ASt that point Cathy Reese screamed out “Fire” –the pressure defense started and within minutes the game was in the Terps’ command. Stony Brook was flustered and confused by the pressure. The texts of sympathy started arriving early in the 4th as is was clear Cornell was going to win. I guess the malaise I was talking about in the middle of the season wasn’t so . It was just hard to understand the Terps losing the ground ball wars, Faceoffs, and being unable to generate offense after the great start they had.
