Jerome Boger was making his first appearance as referee in the Super Bowl and some, including anonymous officials, questioned his qualifications for working this game.
But I’m happy to say Boger and his crew did a commendable job.

Senior Tianna Hawkins of the 10th-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team was added to the State Farm Wade Watch List, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association announced Monday.
Hawkins currently leads the ACC in scoring with 19.4 points per game and is No. 2 in rebounding with 10.0 boards per game. Teammate Alyssa Thomas was named to the Wade Watch list earlier in the season.

While I was on the plane flying home from New Orleans, I remembered that the Terps had played Nevada in the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise in 2008. So I checked google to see if the SF QB played that day. Sure enough he was the starter, he ran the pistol offense back then, and had a heck of a day against Maryland in a losing effort.
