That’s what Adam Jones said post game and I tend to agree. The much maligned Tommy Hunter was magnificent staying ahead of the Twins hitters and keeping the ball down. Adam Jones is becoming a one man offensive show. Hopefully this team’s batting slump will end. the O’s are 47-44.

Maryland baseball’s Brett Harman and field hockey’s Harriet Tibble were recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference Wednesday as Maryland’s 2011-12 Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year. 

Harman, a native of Westminster, Md., has been a standout pitcher since he stepped on campus almost five years ago. After undergoing Tommy John surgery and missing the entire 2011 season, Harman had a stellar 3.04 ERA in 2012, which led to 2012 All-ACC second team honors.

Kansas State associate head coach John Szefc has been hired as the new head baseball coach at the University of Maryland, director of athletics Kevin Anderson announced Wednesday.

What is the solution? The O’s are now 46-44, barely have any pitching whatsoever, have the worst fielding team in their history, and have a acquired a 41 year old Jim Thome as their saviour. So far Thome is 9-35 with 0 HRs and 2 RBI. Amaro got us good!
