After a troubling blown save by JJ, the Orioles rallied twice to defeat Detroit. With Verlander pitching Sunday, The O’s desperately needed this win. Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the 13th, JJ Hardy broke out of an 0-28 slump with a game tying HR and then Taylor Teegarden went deep in his first game with the O’s. An impressive win!!!

The Orioles have announced that they have agreed to terms with their 2012 first round draft pick, RHP KEVIN GAUSMAN. The Louisiana State University product was the fourth overall pick of the Draft. Gausman, 21, is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound draft-eligible sophomore from Centennial, CO. He went 11-1 with a 2.72 ERA, 128 strikeouts, 27 walks and two complete games in 16 starts for LSU this season.

Maryland men’s lacrosse rising sophomore Charlie Raffa scored two goals in the U.S. under-19 men’s national team’s 24-6 win over Australia Friday in its opening game of the Federation of International Lacrosse U19 World Championship in Finland.
Matt Kavanagh led Team USA with three goals and three assists, tallying five points in the first half, as the U.S. (1-0) improved to 37-0 all-time in sanctioned U19 international competition.
