Terrapins baseball coach Erik Bakich has accepted the head coaching job at the University of Michigan, Michigan officials announced Wednesday.
Bakich leaves the Terps just more than a month after wrapping up his third season at the helm, a 32-24 campaign that marked his best since taking over for Terry Rupp.

This new format will not begin until 2014. The selection process of the 4 teams has a yet TBD but the playoff timetable seems to ba as follows: The committee will choose the debate pairing. The 2 semi final games will be played on Jan 1 or thereabouts. with the title game going to the highest bidder.
Almost at the halfway point, Mark Reynolds is killing us with his 6 HR 22 RBI , and 220 BA. He is 3-30 and is a dead hole in the lineup.
This would be a terrible blow for Maryland Baseball. I am closely following this story. Apparently Erik has interviewed for the job and rumors have it Michigan is throwing big money his way.
