Wait a minute.Yes it’s great that Alex can now practice with the team. Before I start jumping for joy, why is the suspension so stiff? For signing a contract when he was 13 or 14? 10 games? I am thoroughly confused. What did Alex do wrong? 10 games is 1/3 of a season. Steroid users in baseball get 50 games. Drug users in football get 3 or 4 games. This is great news. Alex can start practicing ASAP. According to Jeff Barker of the Sun there still could be a penalty of a few games but we will have to wait and see. No longer is this a small team. Yes it will take Alex time to adjust but from all of what I have heard this kid has a tremendous upside. Finally some great news out of College Park!!!!!! Listen, did you ever wonder that with all of the turmoil created by realignment, the NCAA could disappear. This delay on the Len decision is leaving Coach Turgeon and his players twisting in the wind. Sickening to say the least. terrapintimes is still speculating based on whatever inside info Keith has, that the suspension might only be 4 or 5 games. Stay tuned.
Okay I was wrong. Mosley will not move to point. That position will belong again to Sophomore Terrell Stoglin. The Terps are down to 7 scholarship players. 4 Guards–Stoglin, Mosley, Mychal Parker, and Nick Faust and 3 Bigs—Pankey, Weijs, and Padgett. The NCAA Clearance of Alex Len is now even more crucial to the hopes of this year’s team. Wow–what a brutal day for Maryland.
I am sick over this. Every time I had the chance to talk with Coach Turgeon I never heard anything but confidence about his scholarship players. Pe”Shon was an integral part of plan probably playing the point. This is an extremely tough loss. I wouldn’t be shocked if Sean moves to the point.
