Some observations of a game that’s getting away from Maryland
Notre Dame has amassed close to 400 yards so far
No turnovers yet for Maryland and actually the defense held it’s own early on but the constant lack of sustained Drives finally caught up
In the 2nd quarter Danny put together a nice 61 yard TD drive culminating in a 13 yard TD pass to Quintin McCree
DJ Adams has returned to the lineup
The Terps have gotten to … Read More »
Danny gets the start today as I clearly expected and stated so on Terp Talk. The Terps are down 7-0 immediately, Danny on his 2nd play from scrimmage throws a bomb on the money to an all alone Quintin McCree and he loses the ball in the sun. The uphill battle begins as it has all season.
I thought Edsall utilized the 2 QBs in a logical, somewhat productive sequence. However, Cj’s passing skills are not up to Danny’s. There … Read More »

There was no shortage of cringe-inducing moments for Maryland’s football fans Saturday, as the Terrapins littered the field with missed tackles, dropped balls and botched field goals en route to their fourth consecutive defeat.
While disappointed by the 28-17 loss to Boston College, Maryland Athletic Director Kevin Anderson said he saw nothing that shook his faith in first-year Coach Randy Edsall, whose squad fell to last in the ACC’s Atlantic Division Read More »
It seems almost unfair that the one of the Terrrapin receivers that doesn’t have the drop problem will be out this week. Marcus Leak has moved ahead of Ronnie Tyler after Ronnie’s crucial drop last week.
Observations of a tremendous opportunity that quickly slopped away:
A tremendous offensive game plan fell victim to dropped passes by Terrapin receivers last night . I will definitely admit that I was wrong about CJ Brown. Maryland now has what most teams covet –2 excellent Collegiate Quarterbacks. While Danny is mired in a Sophomore slump, CJ Brown ran for a Terrapin QB record 167 yds while still completing 3 touchdown passes. Yes his passing was not spot on the entire … Read More »

Dabo Swinney’s Tigers have been one of the real surprise teams in the ACC this year and with each passing week, they move closer and closer to an Atlantic Division crown. Clemson ran a three-week gauntlet against powerhouses Auburn, Florida State and Virginia Tech and came out unscathed, making last weekend’s 36-14 win over Boston College at home seem anti-climatic. The victory moved the Tigers to 6-0 for the first time since 2000. Swinney knows the team hasn’t achieved anything … Read More »
Coach Edsall wants to keep Clemson guessing. My guess is Danny will start but if his game is off it will be a quick hook. Edsall could also utilize both QBs.
Maryland’s Joe Vellano was honored Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference for his play in Saturday’s 21-16 loss at No. 13 Georgia Tech. Vellano was all over the field against the triple-option attack of the Yellow Jackets, who were held well below their season averages in points (21 – GT averaged 51.6 ppg), rushing (272 – GT averaged 378.2 pg) and total offense (386 – GT averaged 587 pg).
