Yes it is Judgment Day — no game in recent memory carries the importance of this one. Everyone with Maryland knows this. No the world will not end with a loss but big time momentum accompanies a W.

The loss of the Miami 4—Jacory Harris, Olivier Vernon, Ray ray Armstrong, and Sean Spence is way too much for Miami to overcome. QB1 will shred the secondary. The inclusion of the no huddle will baffle Miami with so many new guys … Read More »

With a cloud of controversy hovering overhead, the embattled Miami-Florida Hurricanes will take the field on Monday evening to battle the Maryland Terrapins in ACC action.
When Al Golden decided to leave Temple and accept the vacant head coaching position at the University of Miami, he had no idea what he was walking into. Imprisoned booster Nevin Shapiro began diming out past and current Hurricanes to whom he provided significant gifts, both cash and otherwise, over a nearly decade-long … Read More »

Great day for Will. Bellichick will rue the day he let him go.

The Patriots may be going with two tight ends after all…

I’m told the club has informed undrafted free agent Will Yeatman of his impending relaease, though he’ll likely be back on the practice squad (unless he’s claimed).
Yeatman was a former lacrosse player from Maryland who was raw but impressive. Perhaps he’ll develop on the practice squad. Bill Belichick likes him, so I bet he gets the chance.

The odds were stacked against him but LaQuan impressed Harbaugh to the point where he might be returning punts next Sunday against the arch enemy.

Yaaaaawwwwwnnnnn. What a horrically boring game

Laquan Williams had to make the team after that 33 yard punt return.

Torrey caught some balls over the middle

I totally agree with the decision not to play Flacco for one series. What good is one series going to do. Flacco is going to need a few games to be in great form. Worried about The Steelers.

If last night’s farce wasn’t”t an indication that 3 exhibition games are enough then the message … Read More »

The key guy who will not play is All American Safety Ray Ray Armstrong. He could have caused havoc for Danny O’Brien. QB Jacori Harris, def lineman Olivier Vernon, and TE Dyron Dye are among the rest who will miss the game. Jacori is very talented but prone to turnovers. I would rather he play.
But remember this is the U. The depth is there. Maybe not to replace Ray Ray but Miami will be on a mission now. … Read More »

Maryland’s Danny O’Brien was named to the watch list Monday for the Manning Award which honors the top quarterback in the country.  For O’Brien, the 2010 Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year and a 2011 consensus preseason first team all-league pick, it marks his third appearance on a national award watch list (also Davey O’Brien and Maxwell).  The sophomore from Kernersville, N.C., saw action in all 13 games last season, posting a 7-3 mark as a starter.
