What Happened: Maryland blitzed Princeton 17-5
Takeaway: Let’s face it: Maryland has become a team that everyone loves to hate. Primarily, lacrosse fans feel the Terps play too slow and conservative for the amount of talent they have on the offensive end. This wasn’t the case this past Saturday against Princeton. 5. Towson — A two-win week is nothing to shrug at. The Tigers won at Loyola on Wednesday and took care of UMBC on Saturday by jumping out to a 9-0-halftime lead. Towson is athletic at the midfield, rangy and cohesive on defense and has confident finishers on attack. Maryland men’s lacrosse head coach John Tillman announced Thursday that Kevin Conry has been promoted to associate head coach. Conry has led Maryland’s defensive units to top-10 national rankings in each of his first three years at Maryland.

Maryland men’s lacrosse assistant coach Kevin Conry has been named the 2015 Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Assistant Coach of the Year.
Serving as the team’s defensive coordinator, Conry led a Maryland defensive unit that topped the nation in scoring defense in 2015, allowing just 7.1 goals-per-per-game. The Terps had a stretch of seven games when it allowed just 30 goals (4.2/g) en route to advancing to the NCAA National Championship game.
