Observations after a much needed win by the Terps:

The Greyhounds came ready to play tonight and punched out an early 2-0 Lead  The #3 Terps came storming back and late in the 3rd quarter led 10-7

Time to exhale. Maryland and Michigan have christened Big Ten Lacrosse. BTN was on hand as was the largest crowd of the season. Maryland’s play was a bit sloppy but in the end, the Terps had the better collection of athletes and more skilled lacrosse players. The Terps claimed their seventh consecutive win with a 13-4 thrashing of the Michigan Wolverines in Byrd Stadium Saturday. Here’s a close look at the game.

There is no spin on this move. Connor had become the Terps premier dodger by the end of his Freshman season. His loss is big. It’s time for Tim Rotanz or Colin Heacock to step up. There seemed to be 2 Terp teams I watched, followed and lived and died with this year. One was great at the X, great on defense, innovative on offense, and of #1 calibre. The other was still great at the X, solid defensively , but sluggish, somewhat confused on offense, and just clearly not ready to win it all. It’s obvious which team showed up today on the highest stage of lacrosse.
