What a waste of money signing Dwight on this team. Early in the 2nd half Metta WP is dismantling the Wiz but then again it’s the Wizards. When Nash and Stevie return this team will become slightly better then mediocre. D’Antoni can’t win with his style with this team. Mitch got it wrong. Larry Brown could win with this team. One thing … Read More »

Jordan Crawford and Shaun Livingstone played a strong tandem role as the Wizards moved to 1-12. It’s incredible how strong the crowd was for the Wizards even after their 0-12 start. No doubt, DC is a great basketball town. John Wall will return probably in about 2 -3 weeks.

Offseason Transactions:Drafted Bradley Beal and Tomas Satoransky; traded Rashard Lewis and 46th pick of draft to Hornets for Emeka Okafor and Trevor Ariza; amnestied Andray Blatche; re-signed Cartier Martin; signed A.J. Price.

Grade: B

For a team that had very little financial flexibility, the Wizards sure got a lot done.

Ariza and Okafor immediately make Washington a better team in the East, and Beal’s scoring prowess coupled with his underrated perimeter defense and prolific transition abilities gives John Wall the running mate … Read More »

I am all for giving Randy a chance but is he not Flip’s best buddy, isn’t he a part of the Current disaster—time will tell. What will Randy do different —what could anyone do different.  And yet 15000–19000 fans keep coming to the games. Ups for DC –proving it is a great basketball town. Ernie held on to Flip way too long–when Gilbert corrupted the team that should have been it. Where do they go from here?

WIZARDS HEAD COACH FLIP SAUNDERS

“There really is not much to say, disappointment, embarrassment. I do not know if words can explain. We are trying to find out what we can do to get them going. I thought Trevor Booker played with passion and played hard. We have to get everybody playing like that.”

Can you hear the whispers. This was a disaster today.  Listen I always have been passionate about the Wizards but today was unbelievable. I agree that … Read More »

John Wall was 1-9 with 6 points. There is trouble at the phone booth.

— Washington coach Flip Saunders got Roger Mason involved early Friday against Milwaukee. One problem: Saunders forgot to put him on the active list.

The Wizards were whistled for a technical foul in the first quarter after Mason entered the game despite being ineligible to play.

Mason checked in for Jordan Crawford with 3:27 remaining and made a baseline jumper seven seconds later. However, during a … Read More »

The Washington Wizards announced today that they have signed free agent guard Roger Mason.

“Roger is a solid veteran presence who can give us quality production and shooting on the court and valuable leadership in the locker room and in the community,” said Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld.  “We are obviously very familiar with him from his previous two seasons here and are thrilled to have him return to his hometown.”

Mason has appeared in 372 games over seven NBA seasons … Read More »

Don’t ask me why but last night I got wrapped up in the Wizards game at the Staples Center. Only the Wizards could be up by 5–112-107 with 1;40 to play and lose in the 2nd OT 127-119. I can’t even go over how many ways the Bullets blew this game. Wall was stupendous with 32 points and 10 assists but–one more free throw with 7 seconds left in overtime 1 and the Wiz win. Oh yeah, I forgot to … Read More »

The funny thing is they are over 500 at home. Nick Young scored 31 for the Bullets.

Wizards

That’s right –21 losses in a row on the road despite 21 points and 12 rebounds from Mr In Between Size, Trevor Booker. Montrose Christian’s Kevin Durant finished with 40 points. The Wizards play Memphis and Greivis Vasquez tonight.
