BALTIMORE, Md. – The University of Maryland Intercollegiate Athletics Department has partnered with the Y of Central Maryland to offer the first-ever “Y Sports Day with the Terps” on Sunday, April 29 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y.
Terrapin student-athletes and members of the Maryland coaching staff will be on hand to offer free youth sports clinics.

Sam Cassell Jr., a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Baltimore, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at the University of Maryland, head coach Mark Turgeon announced Monday. Cassell, who played this season at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass., is the fifth player to sign a NLI with Maryland during the 2011-12 recruiting season.
