Zdeno Chara who scored the winning goal is an outright beast at 6’9″ 255. He just towered over every player on the ice.

Big victory over Johns Hopkins pays dividends for Maryland.
Point guard Anjale Barrett and center Lynetta Kizer of the Maryland women’s basketball team were both selected in the Top 30 of the WNBA Draft Monday afternoon.
Barrett was selected 26th overall and went to the Washington Mystics and will join former teammate Crystal Langhorne in Washington. Kizer went to the Tulsa Shock two picks later.
Barrett finished her senior season second in the ACC in assists (4.9) and assist/turnover ratio (1.8) this season and ended her four-year career fifth in Maryland history … Read More »
Some observations of a great weekend at the MGN event:
Many of the players discussed a whole new feeling of togetherness this year amongst the players. To me this was very evident throughout the weekend.
Friday night the 2 coordinators spoke to the assembled guest. Mike Locksley the offensive coordinator expressed the many options a CJ Brown type QB gives the team. I do believe from his comments that his offense will be much more explosive then last year.

Owen Blye scored 4 times in the 2nd half to propel the Terrapins to what I call the “sweetest ” victory you can imagine at Homewood Field Tonight.
Maryland jumped on Duke early with seven runs in the first two innings and went on to score in all but one inning, recording its most runs in a conference game since 1999 with a 21-2 win over the Blue Devils Saturday afternoon.
