Ice Asortse has taken unofficials to Maryland and Georgetown and may visit West Virginia and Marquette sometime soon. “I want to play in the Big East,” he said. “Maryland is the only school that is not in the Big east that I really like.” Ice is reported to be an extremely  physical player. Another day another new name on the Terps radar.

CBS will air a feature on Maryland defender Katie Gallagher and her battle with Crohn’s Disease on Sunday at 4 p.m. Gallagher, who captained the Terps’ top-ranked defense in 2011, was diagnosed with the disease as a senior in 2010. Her courageous fight and ultimate return to the field will be showcased nationally by the network.

I just don’t believe the Bullets are unwilling to give up JaVal McGee to get the Arizona forward. Excluding John Wall there should not be anyone untouchable on this squad. Jordan’s fate seems to be in the 2nd round. That would be a shame.

I had watched the meltdown of Rory only a few months back on my trip to Scotland. The British empire was in mourning for days after that infamous 10th hole at Augusta. But no more — to the cheers of thousands of Americans in DC, Rory destroyed the field, a la Tiger, and won his first major, hopefully erasing the debacle in Augusta.
