I guess the game early in the year when the Terps lost 53-45 to Georgetown was no fluke. Here are some of my observations of the season ending game.
The Terrapins had no answer for Sugar Rodgers who tallied 34 points including 7 three point shots. But it was diminutive point guard Rubylee Wright who led this team. she pressed, broke the press, and generally created havoc in the Terps offense.
A former high school coach and good friend Brian … Read More »
After watching the women get demolished by the Hoyas, I drove over to “Bob Turtle Smith Stadium” and caught the last few innings of the Terrapin game. It was cold. The Terps pieced together 5 runs and then the bullpen held the Colonials at bay. The Terps need to turn around the ACC record (1-5) quickly.
I just watched the replay of Saturday’s Hopkins-Cuse game. KYLE WHARTON was pushed into the crease after scoring the supposed winning goal. You could even see the hesitancy of the ref who made the call. Petro must still be seething. Horrible call in a crucial game.
A well thought out response to my criticism of the Big East.
A poor tournament performance doesn’t make the Big East overrated. The simple fact is that, overall, the Big East CRUSHED its non-conference opponents this season.
Here’s a list of notable teams who were Big East victims this year (in the regular season) … Texas (2x), Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State (2x), Wisconsin, Butler, Tennessee, UNLV, Gonzaga, Xavier, UCLA, Georgia, Temple, Vanderbilt, BU (2x), Bucknell [these teams all made it to … Read More »
I say it again. we are LUCKY to have this guy as our owner. The Ravens are a first class organization whose main desire is to win not to see how much money it can extract from the fans. Take a few minute and read the interview.
–Steve is very upset with the fan’s perception and reaction to the strike.
–He wanted to escort Zbikowski into the ring but was prohibited. He has no problem with his boxing career.
The University of Maryland wrestling team earned its third consecutive top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships Saturday as Josh Asper, Mike Letts and Spencer Myers earned All-America status, placing seventh or better at their respective weight classes.
“This weekend was very special for our program,” said head coach Kerry McCoy. “It was our third top-20 finish in a row as well as well as our third consecutive year with multiple All-Americans. Our guys wrestled well and … Read More »
No shocker here. The only weird thing is why he was thrown under the bus right at tourney time. I wonder if he is in for a shut down period or might NC State be interested. The guy completely revived Tennessee’s program.
terrapintimes.com reports that Shaq Cleare is clearly on the Terrapins radar. Here is a quick synopsis:” In a loaded class of post prospects, Cleare is among the top guys. At 6-foot-9, 260-pounds, Cleare is a massive post prospect that can do a variety of things on the block. He has a great set of hands, nice touch around the basket and he locks up rebounds in his area. Sure he can add some counter moves and work on his ability … Read More »
