A third consecutive trip to the national semifinals is on the line Saturday when top-seeded Maryland battles Princeton in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship. First draw is slated for noon. Sarah Mollison tallied eight points to lift the Terps (19-1) past Navy in the first round last Saturday. The senior attacker moved ahead of Caitlyn McFadden, last year’s Tewaaraton winner, for sixth on Maryland’s career points list. The Terps’ 19-goal offensive outburst was the unit’s … Read More »

How could this happen this fast. Remember UVA, Maryland , and Carolina were his 3 final choices. Perhaps the retirement of Gary or the exit of Rob Ehsan from the staff triggered this move.  HOWEVER,  remember this is Turgeon’s team now and with defections  more scholarships become available. He might have the finest recruiting staff in college. I have no qualms. More tonight on Koons Ford Terp Talk. Remember I can not ask Coach Turgeon anything about this.

As Derrick Rose goes so go the Bulls. 7-21 just isn’t going to cut it to get to the Championship series. The King was awesome down the wire. Game 3 is Sunday in Miami.

And, no, it’s not a player.

New Maryland coach Mark Turgeon’s first big recruit is in fact Kansas State assistant coach Dalonte Hill. As reported by various outlets (including the Washington Post) and confirmed by Turgeon to ESPN.com’s Andy Katz this afternoon, Hill will return to his native Washington to spearhead Turgeon’s recruiting efforts in and around the talent-rich D.C. metro area. According to Turgeon, while the terms of Hill’s deal are still … Read More »

At 9:30 tonight Nick’s dad texted terrapintimes.com and the Sunpapers that his son was staying with his original pledge to attend the University of Maryland. As I said then, and I repeat now this is a treemendous day for the Terrapins. Perhaps Bino’s being retained by Mark Turgeon solidified this decision. I anxiously await Midnite Madness to watch the Pride of City College take the court for Maryland. Welcome Nick and the entire Faust family. The following is analysis of … Read More »
