from Jeff Barker’s article in the Sun:

Smith: “He is rolling the dice to leave his name in, as not every scout we speak with projects him in the first round. He would benefit from (another) year at Maryland, but he appears to be prepared to attempt the jump to the next level. Williams impressed this year with his offensive development and dominant interior play. He shows a solid shooting form and developing post skills. He also shows the dedication … Read More »

Since the day Buck came to town everything has changed. It’s early, there are still many questions about the pitching but I am beginning to believe that this might really be a special year. Zach Britton gave the O’s 6 strong innings allowing  just 1 run.

The following comment is why I love Buck: ” We’ve done enough to take that trust away. And I take the fan’s trust very seriously. It may sound hokey but that’s why we do … Read More »

Hats off to Coach Tillman and the entire squad for getting off the canvas after the brutal loss last week to Carolina and going into Virginia and easily defeat the Cavaliers. Has there ever been a worse coach down the wire then John Calipari. A 25 ft 3 point shot was the best play he could design with a berth in the National Championship at stake? Now that’s 2 games with 2 crucial hits.  I was glad to see Buck yank Gonazo before he blew another game. I still can’t figure out why KOji is not the closer but I WILL NEVER SECOND GUESS BUCK-Baseball is back in Btown. by the way what a … Read More »

You have to love this kid. Yes he is the wrong size but that is where his deficiencies end. The word is hw\e desperately wants to follow his countryman, Greivis vasquez to Maryland. His upside is enormous.  It seems like great kids come from Stu Vetter’s program. There are few players with the heart of Carrera.—Just my opinion.

When the final buzzer sounded, one Montrose Christian player darted for his family in the seats. Another claimed the championship trophy and walked around the court with it held high above his head. Two teammates cried. Another proudly waved his home country’s flag. Top-ranked Montrose Christian had just outlasted Oak Hill Academy, 71-64 in double overtime, to win the National High School Invitational basketball tournament on Saturday at Georgetown Prep. “That was a great basketball game,” Montrose Christian Coach Stu … Read More »

David Carroll continued his dominance on the mound and freshmanJake Stinnett drove in three runs to lead the University of Maryland baseball team to a 5-0 victory against No. 7 Florida State Saturday afternoon at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.  With the victory, the Terrapins (13-14, 2-9 ACC) ended a 40-game losing streak to the Seminoles (20-7, 7-4 ACC).
