Freshman designated hitter Tim Kiene’s three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth broke open a two-run game and Maryland cranked out a season-high 14 hits to defeat Liberty 10-5 Wednesday afternoon Maryland had a 6-2 lead cut to 6-5 in the sixth inning when Liberty scored three runs on two hits and two walks, but the Terps came right back with a four-run inning capped by Kiene’s home run to deep right-center field. from umterps.co
Six University of Maryland wrestlers are heading to this week’s NCAA Wrestling Championships at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa. The tournament begins on Thursday and ends with the championship finals, to be televised live on ESPN, on Saturday night. The Maryland softball team took two wins from Fordham Wednesday night in a midweek doubleheader at Robert E. Taylor Stadium. There is no question about how Justin’s game will translate in college. He is a blue chipper, a ptp’er and wow would he look great in a Terrapin uni.
