The Maryland men’s and women’s basketball programs officially kicked off the 2017-18 basketball season with Maryland Madness Saturday night at the XFINITY Center.
Both teams took the floor for a scrimmage as well as a dance-off between the teams and some lucky Maryland fans.

Today, University of Maryland Athletic Director Kevin Anderson announced that he is taking a six-month professional development sabbatical. Damon Evans, the Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Athletics, will fulfill Anderson’s duties during the sabbatical.
