Observations of a great night on the road:

Let’s start off with tremendous ball screen defense by the Terps

Anthony Cowan really stifled Brandon McIntosh–3-13 shooting only 9 points

Terps 6-1 on the road–just can’t figure why it seems they play better away from home

Melo was 12-17 including 4-5 from the trey line–total of 32 points–a career high

Terps out rebounded NW 40-31 and had 15 assists and 14 turnovers

Senior Matt Rambo tallied a career-high seven points and the Terrapin defense allowed just two second half goals as the No. 2 Maryland men’s lacrosse team defeated Saint Joseph’s, 16-8, Tuesday night. Maybe it’s just been the last 2 games but UW does not look like a top 5 team after losing somewhat handily to Northwestern at home 66-59.

This sets up 2 of the biggest conference games of the year as the Terps travel to NW on Weds night and then to Wisconsin on Sunday.

Current Standings:

Wisconsin 10-2

Maryland   9-3

Purdue        9-3

NW               8-4

MSU             7-5

This was Tom Crean like you’ve never seen him. Unplugged, you could call Crean after Indiana’s 75-63 loss to Michigan on Sunday. Almost no energy at all. Exhausted. Drained. Tired – and not just tired after his team’s fifth loss in six games.  (5-8 in the Big Ten and 15-11 overall)
