Sophomore Colin Heacock posted a career-high four points and nine different players scored as the No. 3 Maryland men’s lacrosse team defeated Robert Morris, 13-4, Tuesday evening.

The top-ranked defense in the nation had an excellent first half, holding Robert Morris scoreless on just seven shots attempted. Maryland took advantage offensively, scoring nine first half goals and never looking back.

 Senior Laurin Mincy saved her finest moment for her last game at Xfinity Center and led the Terps to victory over previously unbeaten Princeton.  Mincy was 9-11 from the field, 6-6 on treys, had 4 rebounds and 7 assists and 27 points.

Super sophomore Lexie Brown chipped in with 23 points including 5 treys.

Sophomore second baseman Brandon Lowe notched three hits and two RBIs to lead the No. 14 Maryland baseball team past Minnesota, 8-3, Sunday afternoon at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium.

The Terrapins (17-4, 3-0) fell behind early before rallying back in the middle innings. Tayler Stiles picked up the win with three innings of one-hit relief.

What a sad way to end a great season. There is no doubt we will never know how this game might have ended if Melo didn’t first receive a shoulder shiver from Nathan Adrian and then was accidentally kicked in the head by Damonte Dodd. This should be a great game today. The question is can Maryland withstand 40 minutes of full court and pressure and attack basketball. The game is a pickem, so that alone explains no one knows the answer to the question. I firmly believe Melo, Dez and Nickens will handle whatever the Moauntaineers throw at them.

Maryland 69 WVU 64 and a Thursday date with the Evil Empire in Cleveland.
