First of all—Really? They actually played lacrosse tonight.

Junior midfielder Taylor Cummings notched five points and eight draw controls as the No. 1 Maryland women’s lacrosse team (4-0) took a 14-7 victory over UMBC (3-3) Wednesday evening at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

Dez was fantastic again tonight. He seems to be playing at a much higher speed then he has in the past.  Dez scored 20 on 8-13 shooting, had 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. When Rutgers tied the game up at 45, Dez took over the game.The attendance was 7053 and it seemed like Terp fans outnumbered the Rutgers faithful.

Damonte Dodd had one of his better games scoring 6, and grabbing 4 rebounds. Cheko did not make the trip.

Turgeon: ” Ceko had an MRI on Satuday and everything looked good, which is great news. I’d say he’s day to day, but most unlikely for Tuesday. He’s not supposed to practice today. I don’t know the exact injury, kind of like tendintius, a little swelling in the area…and no structural damage.”

Four members of the Big Ten champion Maryland women’s basketball team earned All-Big Ten First and Second Team honors Monday and head coach Brenda Frese was voted Big Ten Coach of the Year for the second time in her career.
