Lexie Brown scored 14 points to help No. 5 Maryland (21-2, 12-0 B1G) extend its winning streak to 15 games with a 59-47 victory over No. 19 Nebraska (17-6, 7-5) Sunday at XFINITY Center.
Brionna Jones had 12 points and 9 rebounds for the Terrapins, who are riding their longest winning streak since going 16-0 to start the 2011 season. Malina Howard also finished with 12 points for Maryland.
The Iowa game only counts as one loss. The Terps are 19-5 and I promise they cannot play any worse and they will bounce back in a revenge game against Insiana.
Today’s game was not Big Ten Basketball at its Best
Not much to say after another humiliating loss on the road but:
17-2 after 11 minutes–is that even conceivable–2 points?
Today’s game shows how ridiculous criticism of Melo’s shooting has been–he was 7-12 from the field with 20 points and had 4 foul shot attempts taken from him. Take away Melo’s line and the Terps shot 11-38 from the field or 29%
Some ugly stats from an ugly game

Terps attack looked strong in a scrimmage vs Cornell. Coach Tillman has his team wearing different numbers bit it was pretty clear Jay Carlson stood out for the Terps. First game for the Terps is next Saturday at Navy at high noon.

Smith is a pending unrestricted free agent, but he apparently could have gotten a long-term deal before his 2014 season even began.
At that time, the Ravens made a five-year, $35 million offer ($19 million guaranteed) to Smith, according to CBSSports.com’s Jason La Canfora.
“$7M/yr is very fair,” La Canfora said. “Smith started slow; finished strong. … Will be very interested to see how Torrey Smith would do in a limited WR market (once Dez, Demaryius, etc) … Read More »
