Redshirt senior Laurin Mincy led four Terrapins in double figures as the eighth-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team (14-2, 5-0 B1G) battled at No. 22 Rutgers (12-5, 4-2) for a 71-59 win Thursday night at The RAC.

Mincy, who grew up 20 minutes from Rutgers, scored a season-high 24 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists for Maryland. Mincy was playing her first collegiate game in her home state.

Damonte–7 rebounds but only 3 points in 20 minutes

Rutgers picked up its highest ranked victory in program history when it downed No. 4 Wisconsin, 67-62, on Sunday night its last time out. The Scarlet Knights were led in scoring by Myles Mack and Kadeem Jack, who notched 21 and 20 points, respectively. Rutgers outscored Wisconsin 44-27 in the second half.

Mack and Jack are the lone Scarlet Knights averaging double figure scoring, recording 13.8 and 12.6 points per game, respectively.

The 10th-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team took control of the Big Ten standings with a 77-73 win at No. 23 Minnesota Sunday at Williams Arena. Maryland (13-2, 4-0 B1G) ended Minnesota’s 10-game win streak.

Sophomore Lexie Brown led the Terrapins with 20 points, seven assists and no turnovers, while redshirt junior Brene Moseley scored 15 off the bench. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 15 points as well.
