Sophomore Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 17 of her career-high 25 points in the first half to lead No. 8 Maryland to an 85-67 victory over No. 25 South Florida Wednesday night at the XFINITY Center.
Sophomore Lexie Brown added 15 points and redshirt senior Laurin Mincy had 10 for the Terrapins (3-0). Junior Malina Howard had her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman Kristen Confroy also had 11 points off the bench for Maryland.

Lexie Brown scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half to lead six Maryland players in double figures as the eighth-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team (2-0) cruised to a 97-24 victory over Wagner on Sunday. Tough weekend for Wagner hoops at College Park.
The second-ranked Maryland field hockey team threatened throughout the NCAA Quarterfinal matchup, but ultimately fell 2-1 to No. 12 Albany at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex Sunday.
The Terrapins (19-4) controlled the ball for much of the match, but did not score until the final minutes. Seven of Maryland’s 11 shots were saved.
