Maryland men’s basketball head coach Mark Turgeon has announced Friday the signing of transfer power forward Robert Carter, Jr.
A Thomasville, Ga., native, Carter, Jr., (6-8, 247) averaged 10.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in two seasons (54 games, 49 starts) at Georgia Tech. Carter, Jr., will be eligible for the 2015-16 season as a redshirt junior and will enroll at the University of Maryland this summer.

Just a few comments:
The reason I liked the Spurs so much in the series was because of their superior depth. Tiago Splitter, Boris Diaw, Danny Greene –the Heat have no equals. Yes LeBron is clearly the King but he has no court as was evidenced when he had to leave the game because of cramps.
I’ll stick with my original prediction Spurs in 6

University of Maryland right hander Jake Stinnett has been selected in the second round (45th overall) of the 2014 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Chicago Cubs.
Stinnett is the 15th Terrapin to be drafted over the last four years and is the highest-selected Maryland player since Brett Cecil was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first round (38th overall pick) of the 2007 draft.
