The fourth-seeded Maryland women’s basketball team’s strong run in the NCAA Tournament came to an end Sunday with an 87-61 loss to top-seeded Notre Dame in the NCAA Final Four in Nashville, Tenn.

In my mind Maryland is written all over this game. Of course it is a bit of a stretch. The Terps first game of the year was in the Barclay Center against UConn. As close as the Brooklyn is to Storrs, Maryland fans outnumbered UConn fans at least 3-1. Dez Wells had 2 opportunities to win the game for Maryland but missed both attempts.
