Maryland Lacrosse

The 1st time I saw the Harrisons live was at BJC a few summers back. Andrew Harrison seemed to be the lead brother but it was Aaron who greatly impressed me with his coolness and shooting ability. Last night Aaron put the Wildcats on his back and took them to the final four. What a shame the twins didn’t come to Maryland.

Yes this was the same UConn team that Maryland had on the ropes the first game of the … Read More »

To me this was a huge win for the Terps.  After the loss to Carolina last week, there had to be concern with the lack of offensive production in a game where Maryland dominated the X yet could not score enough. Thus the move of Connor Cannizzaro to attack and Cornell transfer Henry West to a added minutes. Henry West came through with 5 points (3G and 2 assists) and Cannizzaro chipped in a goal and 2 assists leading Maryland … Read More »

My take—Sorry I can’t call this an upset. The Terps dominated from the opening whistle. The Volunteers had no answer for ACC POY Alyssa Thomas. Kudos to Brenda who guides the Terps to an Elite 8 game against Louisville Tuesday night. Unfortunately the game is in Louisville, but the X factor is definitely Alyssa.

Florida Over Dayton—will be closer then experts believe but Florida (my pick to win it all) is just too strong for the upstart Dayton team.

Wisconsin over Arizona–going with the upset here. The elevation of play from Fank Kaminsky has changed this Badger team.

The No. 2 Maryland women’s lacrosse team picked up a pair of clutch performances from its freshman class Saturday as it edged No. 4 Boston College 10-9 Saturday at a rain-soaked Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex.

Rookie goalie Emily Kift made three game-changing saves late in the second half and freshman Deb Milani turned the tides in the draw to keep the Terps (13-0, 4-0 ACC) undefeated in 2014. Sophomore Taylor Cummings posted three goals and added an assist to lead Maryland offensively. Read More »
