Junior Jay Carlson netted a hat trick in the first half and had four goals in total to lead the No. 1 University of Maryland men’s lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over Michigan on Tuesday afternoon at Michigan Stadium.
The Terrapins improve to 7-0 overall on the season with the win, while the Wolverines fall below .500 at 4-5.
The Baltimore Ravens learned a critical lesson last season, one that was remedied with the recent signing of wide receiver Steve Smith: Quarterback Joe Flacco needs all the help he can get. The Maryland women’s basketball team earned a No. 4 seed in the 2014 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Terps will play 13th-seeded Army Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in Comcast Center in the First Round.
