Maryland senior goalie Niko Amato has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Amato made 11 saves in a 16-8 win at No. 2/1 Syracuse on Feb. 22 while helping to hold a dynamic Syracuse offense to 10 goals below its season average.
