Maryland men’s lacrosse coach John Tillman announced today that Jake and Jesse Bernhardt have returned to the program as members of the coaching staff. Jesse will be the Terps’ volunteer assistant coach, while Jake will serve as the program’s director of lacrosse operations.

University of Maryland senior Jimmy Sheptock was named Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Sheptock notched six straight victories over the course of the holiday period, winning the 184-pound title at the prestigious Ken Kraft Midlands Championships in the process.

Vanderbilt football coach James Franklin has emerged as a front-runner to become head coach at Penn State, several organizations have reported.
CBSSports.com’s Bruce Feldman tweetedthis morning that a source told him that Franklin was the clear front-runner for the job.
FootballScoop.com reported that Penn State planned to hire Franklin, according to a source.
